Overview

The name comes to my Tree through my Father, John Phillips Wright.

The Wright surname is one of the most common in existance as it is derived from an occupation such as Wheel right and so on. Infact after about 1800 the Wright surname begins to change to the more specific version of Mickle wright and so on.

Current Status

I have researched the Wright surname back to a Francis Wright born about 1796 at St Mary's Parish at Lichfield, Staffs at that point it is impossible from the chrstian name to identify the particular Wright to my tree.

The data is held in Brothers Keeper genealogical software program.

I can create descendent or ancestor reports in MS Word or in graphical format.

The Future

To be blunt the future is bleak in researching this branch of my family tree, and the only thing I am trying to do is to research the maiden names of the spouses as I go back in the Wright line.
