Withnalls have had a continous presence in this part of Stafford since 1601, but strangely unlike the Groucotts, the Withnall surname is extinct at Baswich.

Although many Withnalls have been buried in the church yard very few gravestone remaining standing.

Thomas Withnall.

Enter through the Lynch Gate, walk along the path with the church building on your right, veer left down a path leading to the new extension to the grave yard and William Withnall's grave in on your right.
