Hints.
When taking over an unfamiliar system.
Before doing a reboot always:-
$ mc sysman
show/all
show/special
exit
$ deassign sys$output
This is done to know system params - remember that some system params are dynamic these changes done without a use current then write current will be lost on a reboot.
$ show que/all/full/out=que.lis
$ sho dev d/out=dev_d_br.lis
$ sho dev d/full/out=dev_d_full.lis
$ sho dev m/out=dev_m_br.lis
$ sho dev m/full/out=dev_m_full.lis
$ sho dev/full/out=dev_all_full.lis
The above will list what we have now - again a manual disk mount might have been made without command files being updated to reflect this – again could be lost on a reboot. Do the same for queues. It is the entries we are interested in here.
